iF design awards 2012: Call for entries

Design can be bold, intelligent and passionate; it can be humorous, serious and confident. But most of all, it can simply be excellent – and carry an iF design award.
Since 1953, iF has invited international manufacturers and designers to enter their products in the iF design awards. Design experts from all over the world come together in the iF juries to evaluate the entries: excellent design is recognized and rewarded. The iF design awards have long been a trademark feature of iF and the iF label is recognized the world over as a seal of design excellence.
We have restructured the iF design awards to include many new benefits for participants and award winners.
THE MOST IMPORTANT NEW DEVELOPEMENTS AT A GLANCE:
New: all iF design awards at the same time of the year openclose
Whether it’s about products, communication, packaging or materials: the iF design awards will still be held in these four areas. What’s new is that all awards will take place at the same time of the year, with the same registration deadline and the same jury date.
New: iF awards ceremony at the start of the year openclose
From February 2012 onwards, there will be one awards ceremony for all iF design awards: the iF design awards night. This glamorous and exciting event will kick off the new design year and will support the exchange between experts, designers and entrepreneurs, marketing specialists and architects, representatives of the press and other communicators.
New: even more public attention for the iF award winners openclose
The awards ceremony will take place at BMW World in Munich, Germany, during ‘Munich Creative Business Week’. In cooperation with bayern design, the Free State of Bavaria and the city of Munich, we will offer our award winners an unprecedented international stage – and the recognition that comes with it.
New: exhibition of iF award winners in Hanover and in Hamburg openclose
The traditional iF awards exhibition at the Hanover trade fair will be run in parallel to design-related trade fairs such as CeBIT and possibly two more shows. There will also be a new exhibition concept, which will again direct public attention towards the iF awards exhibition.
The iF awards exhibition will additionally be on display at Hamburg’s new Harbor City for up to nine months each year.
New: iF awards exhibition to present all award winners from all iF design awards openclose
The iF awards exhibition will no longer present only the winners of the iF product design award: all award-winners from all iF design awards will be shown at the two venues of the exhibition, in Hanover and in Hamburg.
